How best to use my Ecoset Bottle, Travel Mug or Tumbler?
For keeping your drinks cold we recommend filling your bottle, travel mug or tumbler with pre-chilled water from your fridge. Alternatively, you can fill direct from the tap and top up with ice cubes.
Please note, placing your Ecoset Bottle, Travel mug or Tumbler in the fridge or freezer will do nothing to change the temperature of the liquids inside due to the double-wall vacuum.
For keeping your drinks hot, we recommend filling your Ecoset Bottle, Mug or Tumbler with boiling water first to heat the inside. Then, empty out the boiling water and fill with a hot drink of choice.
Up to 24 hours cold is based on the water being very cold when poured into your bottle. Up to 12 hours warm is based on filling your Ecoset Bottle with boiling hot water and keeping it shut. Results will significantly vary based on the temperature of the drink put in the bottle and how many times it is opened. We would advise the same process for our Ecoset Travel Mugs and Tumblers which are 12 hours cold and 6 hours warm.
PLEASE NOTE THAT EXTREME CAUTION SHOULD BE EXERCISED WHEN FILLING OR DRINKING HOT LIQUIDS FROM YOUR ECOSET PRODUCT. WHEN PLACING EXTREMELY HOT LIQUIDS INTO YOUR ECOSET PRODUCT BEWARE OF STEAM THAT CAN BUILD UP IN THE SEALED PRODUCT. EXERCISE CAUTION WHEN OPENING OUR PRODUCTS WITH HOT LIQUIDS INSIDE.

No Ecoset’s Bottles, Tumblers and Travel Mugs are not suitable for dishwashers.
Hand wash only recommended to preserve surface finish due to harsh chemicals often used in dishwashers.
We recommend cleaning your Bottles, Tumblers and Travel Mugs after each use with hot soapy water, please do not leave the bottle to soak. For a very thorough clean please use bicarbonate soda with water.
Whilst our product’s are made of high-grade stainless steel which preserve the flavour of freshness of your drinks, if Ecoset’s Bottles, Tumblers and Travel Mugs are not cleaned it can lead to a smell or taste developing. -
Can you put my Ecoset Bottle, Travel Mug or Tumbler in the freezer?
We would not advise putting an Ecoset Bottle, Travel Mug or Tumbler in the freezer. The reason is that this will have no effect on the bottle, Travel mug or Tumbler due to the double-wall vacuum insulation of each product. This technology means the your product is not affected by the outside temperature so the freezer will not be able to cool the contents inside. It has also been known to crack the bottle and break the vacuum seal if left in the freezer.
For best results for cold water, we recommend using very cold water from the fridge or tap and filling your Ecoset Bottle, Travel Mug or Tumbler with ice cubes.

Yes you can put alcoholic drinks into Ecoset Bottle, Travel Mug or Tumblers. They are perfect for keeping wine, beer, and cocktails cold! We recommend a really thorough clean straight after use with hot soapy water. For further cleaning please use bicarbonate soda with water.
When not using your Ecoset Bottle, Travel Mug or Tumbler, we recommend storing without the cap on to allow the inside to dry out.

Can you put fizzy/sparkling/carbonated drinks into an Ecoset Bottle, Travel Mug or Tumbler?
Yes, you can put fizzy and sparkling drinks into an Ecoset Bottle, Travel Mug or Tumbler. We recommend a really thorough clean straight after use with hot soapy water. For further cleaning please use bicarbonate soda and water.
Ecoset Bottle, Travel Mug or Tumbler, will also keep your drinks fizzy due to the airtight lid. However, the time it will keep drinks cold will vary significantly depending on the drink.
Please be careful when removing and putting on the lid if you have been storing fizzy drinks in your Ecoset Bottle, Travel Mug or Tumbler. Pressure can build up inside the product and may cause the lid to ‘pop’ off. We recommend exercising a lot of caution and opening the cap with a firm grip, with your hand over the top.
Please ensure the slide component on travel mug & tumbler lids is open when putting lid on after filling with hot drinks. Steam can build up and cause lid to pop off if closed when putting lid on.

We do advise caution not to leave any organic/food products such as soup that can spoil in the bottle for too long as this may cause pressure to build and potentially damage the bottle and lid.
-
Are Ecoset Travel mugs and Tumblers leak-proof?
No, the travel mugs and tumblers are not leak proof. The slide lids, whilst preventing major splashes if knocked over, do have holes in them for drinking that cannot be sealed off fully. For this reason, we do not recommend carrying your travel mug or tumbler in a bag.
If your travel mug or tumbler is leaking from the seal between the lid and the cup itself, please check the o-ring to ensure it is fitted correctly. If it doesn’t sit right on your lid, this may cause your travel mug or tumbler to leak.
-
How do I clean my Ecoset slide lid?
The Slide lids on both our Travel Mugs and Tumblers are easy to clean. You can take the slide lid component off and clean it underneath and pop it back onto the lid. If tea or coffee has also gone under the silicone piece you can also take this out with a tooth pick or skewer (please do not use a sharp knife as this may damage the silicone or you might hurt yourself!) and just pop that back in too.
